A tall stoneware vase with vertical ribbing running the full height and a matte glaze over it. At 33.7cm and 13.3cm across, it is built to be a shape in the room rather than a container that disappears behind what is in it.
Ribbing does something specific to a matte surface. A flat matte cylinder can read as dead at a distance, because there is nothing for light to catch; fluting gives it a rhythm of soft shadow down the body that changes as light moves across the room. It is the reason fluted forms keep coming back in ceramics, and it is why this one works with nothing in it.
The glaze is a soft, pale light pink rather than a stark white, which puts it closer to plaster and unbleached linen than to a bathroom fitting. It sits well against warm neutrals, oak and terracotta. The stoneware holds water, so it takes fresh stems in summer as easily as dried grasses, eucalyptus or pampas in winter, or it can simply stand empty.

Separately, if an item is faulty, damaged or not as described, you are covered by the legal guarantee for at least two years from delivery. Customers in Ireland have more: you may reject a faulty item for a full refund within 30 days, and your right to claim runs for six years.

As a general rule: dust dry rather than wet with a soft cloth, avoid abrasive cleaners and solvents, keep pieces out of prolonged direct sunlight, and wipe up spills promptly.
