A freestanding full-length mirror, 148cm tall on a tilting floor stand. The tilt is the feature that separates a cheval mirror from a leaning one: the angle is set by the frame rather than by how far you pull the base out from the wall.
That matters more than it sounds. A leaning mirror shows you a slightly foreshortened reflection and shifts every time it is knocked, which is why the bottom half of the image never quite behaves. A tilting frame holds one angle permanently, so the mirror stays true and you can set it to the height of whoever uses it most.
Freestanding also means no wall commitment. It can move between the bedroom and the dressing area, it does not need a stud or a masonry fixing, and it can go in a rented flat without a conversation with anyone. Keep the base clear and away from where a door swings.

As a general rule: dust dry rather than wet with a soft cloth, avoid abrasive cleaners and solvents, keep pieces out of prolonged direct sunlight, and wipe up spills promptly.
