PRODUCT SAFETY
We comply with the EU General Product Safety Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2023/988) for the goods we sell.
1. Who is responsible for each product
Our goods are dispatched from warehouses inside the European Union. For each product, the economic operator responsible for it in the EU is named on that product’s page, together with contact details. Where a product page does not name a separate responsible operator, the responsible operator for that product is:
Rothe Estate, sole trader (toiminimi) owned by Casper Wentzel
Business ID (Y-tunnus): 3658227-6
Iirislahdenranta 26 B 2, 02230 Espoo, Finland

2. Product information
Each product listing shows: an image of the product; the manufacturer’s name or trade mark, where known; the name and contact details of the economic operator responsible for the product in the EU; and any safety warnings relevant to that product.
3. Wall-mounted and heavy items
Several of our products are mirrors, framed pieces and other items intended to be fixed to a wall.
Every mirror product page states a minimum fixing rating in kilograms. Use wall fixings rated at or above that figure, fitted into solid material — masonry or a timber stud — and not into plasterboard alone. Larger mirrors need at least two fixing points. Lighter wall-mounted items, such as picture frames and framed canvas panels, state the mounting guidance appropriate to their weight rather than a kilogram rating.
The rating on each page is deliberately set above what that item is likely to weigh, so that following it gives you a margin rather than a close call. It is a fixing specification, not a statement of the item’s weight. If you need the actual weight of a particular item before ordering, email info@rotheestate.com and we will confirm it.
If you are not confident the fixing will hold, use a professional installer. Glass can cause serious injury if it falls.
4. If you have a safety concern
If you believe a product you bought from us is unsafe, contact us immediately at info@rotheestate.com with your order number and a description of the issue. We record and investigate every safety-related complaint.
5. Recalls
If we or a regulator identify a safety issue with a product, we will contact affected customers directly using the contact details from their order, explain the issue, and offer a repair, replacement or refund as appropriate. We will also report the issue through the EU Safety Business Gateway where required.
6. Traceability
We keep records of which supplier and which shipment each product came from, so that any recall or investigation can be traced.
